Religion & Immigration RFP

Situated at the intersection of immigration and religion, this edited volume will address the theme of role that religion plays in an era featuring repressive immigration patterns. More specifically, the key research questions are: "What role(s) does religion play in a context of a repressive immigration system?" and "How can religion function as an ideology of repression, coping mechanism, and/or emancipatory/liberation movement?"

Chapters should be between 6,000- and 9,000-words including bibliography and footnotes and should also include a 250 to 300 word abstract. The deadline for the first draft submission is November 1, 2020.
