In the Cluster of Excellence "Religion and Politics: Dynamics of Tradition and Innovation" at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster is part of the project C3-4 "Religionsphilosophischer Nonkognitivismus" under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. Dres. Hc Michael Quante. Beginning 1 April 2019, the position of 

Research Associate
Remuneration Group 13 TV-L (m / w / d)

is available to occupy half the regular working time. The post is limited to three years. Afterwards you have the opportunity to apply for a final scholarship. The regular working hours are currently 39 hours and 50 minutes a week.

At the Cluster of Excellence "Religion and Politics" the subjects of History, Political Science, Sociology, Catholic and Protestant Theology and Law are involved; representatives of Islamic Studies, Islamic Theology, Jewish Studies, Egyptology, Archeology, Philosophy, Philology, Art History and Ethnology complement the interdisciplinary spectrum. The task area includes:

Collaboration in the subproject C3-4 "Religious Philosophical Noncognitivism" (Project Management Prof. Dr. Dres. Michael Quante) and preparation of publications and conferences in the topic area of the subproject. The activity as Research Associate / Researcher should also serve the further academic qualification (PhD), this includes the participation in the study program of the Graduate School of the Cluster of Excellence. 

Requirements:

  • Above-average degree in philosophy and theology
  • Proven knowledge in analytical practical philosophy and classical German philosophy
  • Experience in editing and proofreading of philosophical texts (German and English)
